Our Mission is Helping Children
Our primary mission is to provide direct services to children from low income families through free legal representation in family courts so that those children have a voice in the courtroom about their past, present and future. We are here for those children who would not have a voice in the courtroom if they did not receive these free services because their families do not have the income or resources to pay for a private attorney to represent their children. We investigate all issues relating to the children, interview the parents, talk to children, interview independent witnesses, attend and participate in all court hearings, write formal reports to the courts, advocate and speak for the children in courts, and even file necessary court documents to ensure that the best interests of all children are considered by the court when making a determination in family court about the future care and custody of the children.
Our secondary mission is to provide education, training and resources to other court advocates and experts in ways that they can help children in family courts.
